Be a Family Coach
Family Coaches are skilled volunteers who help families in crisis reach their goals and provide support to Host Families and Family Friends who are aiding Families in Crisis.Learn more
Be a Host Family
Host Families will make a lasting impression on a child in need and possible change the trajectory of the family. If you are looking for a truly rewarding experience, consider becoming a host family. Learn more
Be a Family Friend
Family Friends encourage and strengthen families in crisis by performing small tasks. Family Friends are trained volunteers that are supported by a network of resources that includes: community development organizations, schools, clinics, counselling and churches. Learn more
Be a Safe Families Canada Church
The Safe Families outreach is only successful when it is embraced and adopted by the local church. Churches of all sizes are necessary to providing for vulnerable children within our communities. Learn more
Be a Resource Friend
Resource Friends can provide items to families struggling with life challenges. Let’s face it, we all have extra items or unused stuff, such as furniture and bicycles. Donating these items can help meet critical needs of families. Learn more
Be a Ministry Lead
Ministry Leads are based in a local church and are involved in recruiting and supporting volunteers, promoting Safe Families Canada within their church community and acting as a liaison with Safe Families Canada staff. Learn more
Be a Safe Families Plus Mentor
PLUS Mentors provide mentorship to a youth aging out of foster care system. They connect the youth to needed relationships and resources, while helping them discover and achieve their goals and dreams.
