Safe Families Canada | York Region

The Regional Municipality of York (also known as York Region) stretches north from Toronto to Lake Simcoe and includes many hectares of protected Greenbelt. York Region’s diversity is evident in our nine local municipalities, geography, economic development and population. Currently York Region is served by Safe Families Canada, Toronto/GTA Chapter, however, with a population of over one million residents, York Region is looking at launching its own chapter. Our small, but dedicated steering committee has started sharing information about Safe Families Canada with family, friends and local churches. This fall, we also embarked on a Hiking Challenge to start raising much needed funds to launch this chapter.
