Safe Families is proud to participate in the Ride for Refugee Event that will be taking place on Saturday September 30th 2017. We invite our 3 locations in Winnipeg, Toronto, and London Ontario to participate in this walking or cycling event. All the money that is raised through this fundraiser will go towards charities that are dedicated to supporting those who have, or currently are, experiencing vulnerability, displacement, and exploitation.
Currently, Safe Families is seeking 5 Team Captains in each city to lead the way, and we would love to invite you to join us! As a volunteer, your participation and support has been so valuable to us in the past, and we’re so excited to welcome you to this new initiative.
What does a Team Captain do exactly?
To sum it up, Team Captains register a team online, invite others (friends, family, co-workers) to join in, raise money and encourage their team to do the same, and make sure their teammates check-in and stick together on RIDE Day (you can read more about the Team Captain role here.
200 other charities across Canada will participate with us as we ride, walk and raise funds together on September 29th.
