To commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary, Safe Families has launched the Canada 150 Campaign in conjunction with the CanadaHelps.org Great Canadian Giving Challenge!
What is The Great Canadian Giving Challenge? It is a National public contest to benefit any registered Canadian charity. Every $1 donated to a registered charity in June via CanadaHelps.org or GivingChallenge.ca, automatically enters the charity to win an additional $10,000 donation. The grand prize draw is on Canada Day and one lucky charity will receive the grand prize of $10,000.
Our set goal is to raise $15,000 by the end of June 30th and in addition to the $10,000 draw through CanadaHelps, a private donor of Safe Families has come forward offering to match every dollar donated to us! We are excited to be participating in this event and we need your help: Spread the word and donate here to help us reach our goal!
This challenge will provide Safe Families with the opportunity to expand our current programs so that more parents-in-crisis can find care for their children while they get back on their feet. We are determined to provide parents with the necessary social supports so that they can reunite with their child in a safer and healthier context.
