Alaina Driedger led the steering committee that launched Safe Families Edmonton and is honoured to serve as director.
Alaina brings seven years of experience as a foster and adoptive parent to her new role. A former speech assistant whose experience includes working with children in northern Alberta Indigenous communities, she first developed a heart for the vulnerable during a YWAM outreach in Kenya. More recently, seeing two of her children successfully reunite with their birth mom stirred a passion for keeping families together.
Alaina enjoys bike rides, tea lattes and spending time with her people. She and her husband Brenton have three sons.
We are looking forward to share with you the great impact Safe Families will have in Edmonton! Stay tuned.
