The chapter remains actively engaged in preparing to receive its first referrals and is focused on recruiting, assessing, and onboarding new volunteers. Outreach efforts, including visits to local churches and presentations about the mission of Safe Families Canada, will continue—raising both awareness and essential financial support. Cheryl Hodgson - Family Placement Coordinator
Cheryl Hodgson has spent much of her life working in education and program facilitation, as an adult education instructor, small business owner, musician and mom. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to serving others through ministry, by directing Christian camp programs, leading children and youth ministries in local churches, and volunteering in prison chaplaincy. Alongside her husband Michael and three children, the Hodgsons served Safe Families as a host family, in the Greater Toronto Area, many years ago. She is inspired by the biblical mission of SFC, to provide relationship in conjunction with resources, to those within her community that need support. Through her professional and volunteer roles, Cheryl strives to glorify the Lord by sharing her love of His design for the local church.
