Launched in 2024, the Safe Families Canada Calgary Chapter is committed to supporting and protecting vulnerable children and families throughout the Calgary region. With a heart for coming alongside families in times of crisis, the chapter works in partnership with local churches, dedicated volunteers, and community partners to provide compassionate, practical care. Through a prevention-focused approach, the Calgary Chapter seeks to keep children safe, strengthen families, and preserve family unity, while offering hope, dignity, and tangible support to those they serve.
For the past 15 years, Jesse has been actively assisting those in need, showcasing his passion for positively impacting the community. He specializes in establishing meaningful partnerships with the broader community, fostering collaboration and support for those facing challenges.
Jesse’s unwavering commitment to keeping kids safe and families together is the driving force behind his work. His extensive experience and genuine care for others make Jesse Crosby the ideal leader to guide Safe Families Canada in Calgary towards its mission of supporting and protecting vulnerable children and families.
Sarah Watson - Family Placement Coordinator
Sarah Watson is a mom of six, with her youngest now a teen, and is a proud grandmother. Her career began as a Sign Language Interpreter and later expanded into birth work as a doula and lactation educator, supporting more than 400 births. Married to an adoptee and having adopted their youngest daughter, Sarah brings lived experience, deep compassion, and a strong heart for family advocacy to her work.
Since moving to Alberta in 2016, Sarah has worked as a case manager for a Member of Parliament, helping families navigate complex systems. She is excited to be part of Safe Families Canada Calgary and is passionate about supporting families in crisis with hope and practical care.
