In the midst of the uncertainty of Covid-19 these last few months, we have had some positive changes in Safe Families! Due to the growth of Safe Families across Canada, Sandee Harder who was directing our Winnipeg office has now moved into a national position as the Western Canada Director. Sandee has demonstrated incredible leadership in launching and building Safe Families Winnipeg and will now use that expertise to direct the development of additional Safe Families chapters across Western Canada.
We are happy to introduce Jason Peters as the new Regional Director of Safe Families Winnipeg! Jason has had many years of experience in ministry, most recently as the pastor of an inner-city congregation in Winnipeg. From a young age, he felt the call to be a father both to his own children and to other children who were vulnerable and in need of care. He is looking forward to helping families stay together by providing families with stability and support in the midst of crisis.
He and his lovely wife Hannah are celebrating 4 years of marriage this year and are eagerly anticipating the birth of their first child in August. He would love to connect with you and share with you how you can join him in helping families here in Winnipeg stay together. Welcome to the team, Jason!
