Aly was introduced to Safe Families Canada and knew right away she wanted to be involved. She joined the Lower Mainland Chapter staff in August 2023, and after relocating to Saskatoon in 2024, continued with the organization—later joining the National Office team in 2025 to support social media and branding.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology and over 15 years of experience working with children with special needs and trauma, Aly brings both expertise and lived experience. Growing up in a family of eight—with biological, adopted, and foster siblings—and serving as a foster parent with her husband in BC shaped her passion for ensuring families feel supported. Having grown up in the Church, she is committed to seeing churches surround families in crisis and to helping keep children safe, supported, and out of foster care whenever possible.
