As the Family Placement Director for Safe Families Canada, Jess Van Rees combines frontline experience with a passion for mobilizing the Church to care well for families. With a background in social work and local church ministry, she is committed to seeing the Church engage in practical, compassionate ministry. Jess views the mission of Safe Families as a meaningful expression of the Great Commission – sharing Christ’s light by being present and providing practical care to those experiencing deep darkness.
Jess loves serving as a bridge between families in crisis and local churches eager to support them. Outside of work, she enjoys serving in her local church, getting coffee with friends, staying active, and watching a good TV show.
