The Sarnia-Lambton Chapter is actively supporting families in the community, with the generous support of local congregations and individual donors. We aim to set up ‘Circles of Support’, using the Biblical model for the local church, allowing volunteers to serve from their giftings. Our volunteers seek to show love to families in crisis, by providing practical help and building relationships with no strings attached. We offer preventative assistance, helping to strengthen families and keep children safe and secure.
There are countless opportunities for you to get involved. Join us, in fulfilling the words of 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Cheryl Hodgson - Chapter Director
Cheryl has spent much of her life working in education and program facilitation, as an adult education instructor, small business owner, musician and mom. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to serving others through ministry, by directing Christian camp programs, leading children and youth ministries in local churches, and volunteering in prison chaplaincy. Alongside her husband Michael and three children, the Hodgsons served Safe Families as a Host Family, in the Greater Toronto Area, many years ago. She is inspired by the biblical mission of SFC, to provide relationship in conjunction with resources, to those within her community that need support. Through her professional and volunteer roles, Cheryl strives to glorify the Lord by bringing local churches and hurting families together.
